Private practice

I am a Canadian Armed Forces Veteran with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and extensive experience supporting individuals impacted by trauma. I specialize in trauma therapy and have worked extensively with military members, Veterans, first responders, and frontline professionals, as well as individuals affected by interpersonal violence, sexual abuse, and historical and intergenerational trauma. My goal is to help clients move beyond simply coping and toward healthier, more fulfilling and productive lives. I provide a compassionate, respectful, and non-judgmental environment where clients can feel safe exploring difficult experiences, developing new perspectives, and creating meaningful change.I believe therapy should be tailored to the individual rather than expecting the individual to fit a particular therapeutic model. My approach is trauma-informed and client-centred and may incorporate EMDR, DBT, IFS/parts work, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive-behavioural interventions, depending on each client’s needs, goals, and readiness. My work focuses on supporting emotional, physical, and psychological well-being while helping clients build greater resilience, confidence, and a sense of control in their lives. As both a Canadian Armed Forces Veteran and trauma therapist, I also bring an understanding of the unique experiences and culture of military members, Veterans, first responders, and other frontline professionals.I do not direct bill private insurance at this time; however, many extended health plans provide coverage for services offered by a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). Clients are encouraged to confirm their individual coverage directly with their insurance provider.I am also an approved service provider for Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) and WorkBC clients.
