Nancy Galway (RSW, MSW) is a professional counsellor and social worker who has had her own experiences with trauma and anxiety. She began working in social work and support in the 1980s and has worked in the areas of corrections, elder abuse, family services, and counselling clinics and with a mobile crisis team. Nancy has worked throughout the country, including in northern Canada, including the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Labrador – in both first response and in clinical care settings. She is currently a member of the NLCSW, OCSWSSW, the CASW, and EMDRIA NSCSW. Nancy has participated as a volunteer on many boards and associations connected to her field and has been awarded for her work in the elder abuse field. When she’s not helping others, Nancy can usually be found living her best cat-lady life or practicing yoga for strength and relaxation
