Denise Hillier is a licensed clinical Social Worker with 30 years’ experience. She received her Bachelor and Master of Social Work Degrees from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Denise has extensive experience working in the field of complex Mental Health issues. She has provided direction and supervision to teams who support individuals coping with Mental Health and Addictions challenges. She has received training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Gottman Couple Counselling (Level 1), and Critical Incident Stress Management. She is a trained Facilitator on Compassion Fatigue and the Road to Mental Readiness. Denise specializes in individual therapy in, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Stress Management, Self-esteem/Empowerment, Borderline Personality Disorder and those who have been impacted by violence.
