Victoria Cory, Mc RCC, CCCMy name is Victoria, and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I am an associate counsellor who completed my Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology at Yorkville University. I provide online counselling for adults and couples, with a particular focus on working with neurodiverse and 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals. As a queer and neurodiverse person, I understand first-hand the importance of inclusive and affirming therapy.In addition to working with clients who identify as LGBTQIAS2+ and neurodiverse, I have experience helping individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures overcome various challenges, such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, grief and loss, parenting issues, insomnia, life transitions, and relationship conflicts.My therapeutic approach is grounded in EMDR, cognitive-behavioural therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused, and narrative therapies. I recognize that every person has a unique journey and perspective, and I strive to create a welcoming, non-judgmental environment where clients can feel safe and supported.As a culturally competent therapist, I am committed to staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in counselling. I also recognize the importance of addressing systemic barriers and advocating for the rights of marginalized communities.In my work, I collaborate with my clients to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to their unique needs and goals. My approach is strength-based, empowering clients to build on their existing strengths and resources. I am passionate about helping all my clients live authentic, fulfilling lives.
