Marie-Eve Brabant

EMDR Basic Training Membership

Marie-Ève has been a member of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec since 2009. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from McGill University and a doctorate in psychology (research and intervention) from the Université du Québec à Montréal. As part of her doctoral studies, she focused on adolescent girls who had been victims of sexual violence. Her university studies and clinical experience in private practice, at the Montreal Children’s Hospital and at the CHU Sainte-Justine, allowed her to acquire expertise in assessment and intervention with children, adolescents and their families, advocating a cognitive-behavioral approach. Committed to providing evidence-based interventions, Marie-Ève regularly participates in several training sessions, particularly on trauma. In order to intervene in trauma contexts, Dr. Brabant was trained in the EMDR approach with adults, children and adolescents. She provides individual interventions and leads psychotherapy groups for children/adolescents. She aims to develop a warm therapeutic relationship with children/adolescents and their parents, and she intervenes while respecting the specific needs of each of these people.
