Jonathan Wieser is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #3824), Approved Clinical Supervisor (RCC-ACS), and Registered Marriage and Family Therapist (RMFT) based in Cloverdale, Surrey, BC, where he is the senior therapist at Sojourn Counselling and Neurofeedback. He has more than 16 years in practice and over 12,000 hours of clinical experience with individuals, couples, and families.Jonathan uses EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as a core part of his trauma work, integrated with attachment theory, emotionally focused therapy, and neurofeedback. Many clients come to him for support with trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, and relationship distress. His approach is collaborative and trauma informed, grounded in the belief that understanding how past experiences shape the nervous system can help clients respond to life with greater calm and choice.He holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Biology (2010) from Trinity Western University. He holds additional training and certifications in EEG Biofeedback, Emotionally Focused Therapy (Externship), Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Advanced), and Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy.
