Sidney is a Certified EMDR Therapist and also is an Approved EMDR Consultant. At the present time Sidney is the only EMDR Consultant in the province of Saskatchewan and currently is in the process of becoming an approved EMDR trainer with EMDRIA. As an approved consultant Sidney supervises other EMDR trained clinicians in becoming certified EMDR therapists with a variety of professional designations including social workers, psychologists, mental health therapists, psychiatrists, and addiction counsellors. Sidney integrates principles of neurodevelopment and traumatology in his clinical work addressing unresolved trauma and addictions. This approach informs and guides the selection and sequencing of developmentally sensitive neurobiologically-guided interventions including EMDR Therapy. Sidney integrates EMDR Therapy with the NMT © ?brain mapping? model in order to access the root source of trauma. This unique integration is a ?first of it?s kind? in treating trauma, mental health symptoms, and addictions in Saskatchewan and western Canada.
