Sherry Muscat has a PhD in Integral and Transpersonal Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco, CA. She is a registered psychologist In Alberta. She works full time in Youth Forensic Psychiatry at Alberta Hospital, in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. She provides inpatient forensic and neuropsychological assessments for court, including assessment for IRCS sentences, (for violent offenders to reduce risk of recidivism). She is also part of the multidisciplinary team that provides treatment for at-risk youth involved in the justice system, with concurrent mental disorders. Sherry has a research interest and extensive training in ketamine assisted psychotherapy. She has published and edited numerous journal articles on ketamine and mental health. Sherry is a certified EMDRIA therapist, with a specialization in trauma informed therapy. In private practice, she is a service provider for: Indigenous Services Canada; First Nations Inuit Health Benefit, Indian Residential School Survivors, Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. Lesser Slave Lake Indian Regional Council. Alberta Medical Association; Physician and Family Support, Alberta Child and Family Services, Canadian Armed Forces, RCMP, and Veteran Affairs. She is a clinical consultant to the CreeAtion Community Care Society, Tawow Acimowin Group Care for difficult to place First Nation youth with complex needs.
