EMDR Certified Therapist

West Coast Counselling & Neurofeedback

It is a precious thing to be able to join and assist with the process of insight, healing, exploration and transformation which is so unique to each person. This is a responsibility and a sacred trust which I take very seriously. As a counsellor, my priority is to ensure that my clients feel safe, understood, and skillfully supported in a compassionate and non-judgmental atmosphere. The person is never the problem – the problem is the problem.

My job often involves helping people to discover (or re-discover) their potential and the gifts and treasures within themselves and their worlds which have been blocked, overwhelmed, or silenced along the way. I love the creative process of co-developing personalized skills and strategies with my clients which can help them to break out of “stuckness” and break through (or work around) “blockages” in their lives.

It can be difficult to confront the pain, limitations, trauma/s, and/or self-defeating patterns which can keep us from our dreams or from feeling comfortable in our own skin; yet, I am continually amazed at the rewards of these courageous undertakings. I absolutely love this profession and plan to continue to counsel, teach, and learn about this wonder-full and messy thing we call life .. for the rest of my life.

I am one of the few therapists in BC who is both trained and *experienced* in providing the combination of both neurofeedback and clinical counselling/EMDR. This allows me to both assess my clients brains using EEG technology and to incorporate cutting edge neurofeedback brain-training into the work of healing trauma, mood disorders, and other difficulties my clients experience.
