EMDR Basic Training

Moxie, Mettle & Soul Therapy Collective Inc.

“Be brave. Dare greatly. Rise strong”. ― Brené Brown.

I acknowledge my presence as a Canadian settler, and I strive to act intentionally in the spirit of truth and reconciliation. I am privileged and honored to reside on Treaty 4, the traditional territories of the Anihšinābēk, Nêhiyawak, Oceti Sakowin/Assiniboine Nations and the homeland of the Métis Nation of Canada.

I practice EMDR as a complete psychotherapeutic modality. I am informed by an integrative mind-body approach, rooted in a Polyvagal-informed theoretical framework. Maintaining the integrity of EMDR, I blend elements of the neurobiology of trauma, Guided Imagery, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Attachment-Based, Somatic, & Ego State Therapies.

I have 31 years of experience working in the public sector providing support to individuals impacted by historical, intergenerational, and complex trauma. I have supported first responder groups who provide direct service to others. I am informed by own lived experience and I have witnessed the sacrifices of family members engaged as active-duty personnel.

I specialize in supports to individuals who have experienced adverse life events, single-incident or complex trauma. I support public safety personnel/first responders who have been diagnosed with PTSD or who are experiencing occupational stress injuries. My lengthy experience working within the public sector informs my intention to support this specialty area of practice.

Using a trauma-focused and anti-oppressive approach, I seek to blend evidence-based, mind-body approaches to calm and prepare the nervous system, target and reprocess maladaptive memories, and create space and opportunities for transformative healing.
