EMDR Basic Training
From The Inside Out Counselling Services
My name is Beverly Grant and have been practicing therapy for about 15 years with a Masters Degree in Social Work. Within my career, I have worn many hats including case manager, group facilitator and therapist. I have worked extensively with youth who have had conflict with the law and their families. I have also worked with young adults and more seasoned adults who have experienced trauma, depression, interpersonal conflict, grief, stress, abuse and domestic violence. In addition, I have worked with individuals who are dealing with family members who have mental illness.
I use a variety of approaches, such as DBT, CBT and EMDR. I cater each therapy session to the individual, focusing on what their strengths and needs are. I am dedicated to creating a safe space for clients where they feel like they can be themselves and discover more of who they are and who they want to be.
I believe that as a woman of color she has moved though the world in a unique way and it has given me a remarkable perspective on life and the challenges that being someone of color experiences. My perspective gives me a passion to assist my clients find their voice, choice and their power.
I am also a Christian and believe all are loved and important. Upon request, I will incorporate Christian components into sessions such as prayer and bible reading. I will also give individuals a safe space to share their faith and the struggles that sometimes happen in the Christian walk
