Michelle Farrow has dedicated her practice to helping individuals reclaim their lives after experiencing trauma. Armed with a deep-rooted understanding of the pervasive impact of trauma—gained from personal experience—Michelle offers an empathetic approach backed by a rich toolkit of evidence-based therapies. She specializes in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Deep Brain Reorienting, Mindfulness-Based Therapies, and Psychodynamic approaches. Her academic and professional background further amplifies her expertise. She holds a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and a B.A. in Police Studies. Beyond these foundational credentials, Michelle has pursued advanced training as a family and domestic violence mediator. Her lifelong commitment to learning is evidenced by several specialized training programs and certifications, ranging from Brainspotting and Neurofeedback to Perinatal Grief and Intergenerational Trauma. Michelle’s professional affiliations include the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals and Resolution Physiotherapy and IMS Clinic in Barrie, ON. Michelle takes solace in life’s simple pleasures when not engaged with her clients. She cherishes moments spent with her twin daughters and fur babies, delights in the company of elephants and the character Eeyore, and savours warm green tea and chocolate comfort.
