As a Clinical Psychologist registered with both the College of Psychologists of Ontario and l’Ordre des psychologues du Québec, I bring over 25 years of experience supporting individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, including children, families, and adults. My work focuses on helping individuals navigate mental health challenges, life transitions, and the complexities of migration struggles. From the outset of my career, I have been deeply passionate about fostering growth and resilience in those facing adversity.Throughout my career, I have developed a nuanced approach to mental health care that integrates an understanding of cultural contexts and the unique experiences of individuals. My practice has been particularly focused on trauma, and I have honed specialized skills to address the profound impact of traumatic experiences on mental well-being. As an EMDR-certified therapist since 2008, I have seen firsthand the transformative power of this evidence-based therapy. Currently, I am furthering my expertise by pursuing training to become an EMDR consultant, to broaden my ability to guide both clients and fellow professionals in the healing process. My approach to therapy is integrative and client-centered, ensuring that each person’s unique needs, values, and goals are at the forefront of the healing process. Drawing from a diverse range of therapeutic models—including humanistic, dynamic, cognitive, systemic, multicultural, expressive, and EMDR—I aim to provide a comprehensive, holistic approach to treatment that honors the whole person. This flexibility allows me to tailor interventions to meet the varied challenges that clients face, creating a safe and supportive space for growth.I offer services in English, French, and Spanish, working with clients on a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, adjustment difficulties, migration and cultural issues, and life transitions, among others. I am deeply committed to ensuring that every client feels heard and empowered on their journey toward healing, recognizing the significance of language and cultural understanding in the therapeutic process.I am privileged to work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and have been especially moved by the resilience and strength people demonstrate when navigating trauma, migration, and life transitions. My approach is grounded in compassion, trust, and collaboration, recognizing the deep connection between mind and body and the inherent capacity for recovery. My commitment to helping individuals rediscover their power and move toward healing is the cornerstone of my practice.
