Many of the people who come to me are carrying the weight of a traumatic death—sudden, violent, or overwhelming in ways that words can’t fully capture.Sometimes it was someone they loved deeply. Sometimes the relationship was complicated, estranged, or unresolved. Either way, the death changed everything.I’m a psychotherapist who specializes in working with teens and adults living in the aftermath of traumatic loss. With EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), I help clients move through the stuckness that trauma and grief so often create—persistent images, emotional numbness, guilt, fear, shame, or an unshakable sense that life will never feel safe or whole again. My approach is compassionate, grief-informed, and grounded in an understanding of how the nervous system protects us in moments of overwhelm. I support clients in gently processing the intensity of what happened, without rushing or minimizing, so that painful memories lose their sharpness and space opens up for relief, reconnection, and meaning-making.This work doesn’t erase the loss—but it can ease the suffering. If you’re ready to take the next step, I offer a free consultation to see if working together feels like the right fit.
