For individuals 12+. Amy is a master level registered social worker and child and Youth Worker with over 20 years of experience helping Ontario’s youth, families, and adult clients overcome personal challenges. She works with a body and mind focus, with a specialty in trauma reprocessing and creating safe client-driven therapeutic environments. That means the client decides where they feel the safest during the session, and we work together to make that space a reality. Amy uses a multimodal, trauma-informed approach to help clients navigate the complex challenges that often accompany life experiences and support them in their journey toward stabilization, healing, and recovery. Her approach is empathetic and respectful, and she deeply appreciate the resilience and strength of each individual she works with. She also works to invite laughter and a little fun into the therapeutic process. She believes that combining EMDR, somatic work, nature, safe spaces, and a great therapeutic relationship can help heal at a completely different level and works hard to make that happen for everyone she has the privilege to partner with.Education and Work ExperienceAmy holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Windsor, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Family and Community Social Service, and diplomas in Child and Youth Care and Social Service Work. She also holds Trauma Therapy and Mental Health Certificates from WLU. Amy has extensive experience working with individuals who have experienced different types of trauma across the lifespan.
