Hello! I am a dedicated Registered Social Worker and therapist who has a passion for supporting children and families. As a parent, it is so hard to see your child struggling, and I know you want to do everything possible to help your child. I want to support and help you, whether your child is experiencing anxiety, phobias, ADHD symptoms, anger/aggression, or any other difficulties self-regulating. I believe in your child?s resiliency and your family?s ability to heal from experiences you have been through and challenges you face. I want to help you understand what is driving your child?s struggles. I love to work with parents and caregivers, incorporating them into therapy and helping them to support their child to manage big feelings and behaviors. I help parents navigate through the complexities of parenting while providing compassion, respect, and positive regard in a non-judgmental manner.
I have a special interest in neurodivergence and practice from a neurodiversity affirming framework. I am trained in AutPlay Therapy, a therapy designed specifically for children and adolescents who are neurodivergent, and provide EMDR integrated AutPlay Therapy.
Lastly, I focus on working with infants, children, and adolescents who have experienced trauma and complex trauma. I have a special interest in working with attachment and dissociative processes including children and adolescents who are living with dissociative identities, also known as dissociative identity disorder (although I disagree that it is a ?disorder?!). I am committed to continued learning and am currently completing play therapy training for certification with the Canadian Association of Play Therapy. I receive regular supervision from a Certified Play Therapist Supervisor (CPT-S). In addition, I am an EMDR Child Specialist and provide EMDR integrated play therapy.
