David Archer, MSW, MFT, is an anti-racist psychotherapist from Montreal, Canada (Tiohtià:ke). He provides mental health services and regularly conducts workshop presentations. He has delivered plenary and keynote speeches and authored books on race, identity, and mental health. Informed by mindfulness, memory reconsolidation, and critical race theory, Archer uses EMDR therapy and is the developer of the Rhythm and Processing framework. He specializes in treating complex PTSD and racial trauma, and is dedicated to increasing the number of Black therapists and training diverse anti-racist therapists from all backgrounds. Archer is an ally of LGBTQ, Black, Indigenous, and oppressed communities worldwide.
