My early education was at the University of Ottawa where I completed a BA in 1972. After raising a family of three children I returned to my education at the University of Ottawa where I completed an Honours BA in Psychology inn 1984. I then attended Seattle University in the USA where I completed an MA in Therapeutic Psychology in 1986 which focused on an Existential- Phenomenological approach to psychological treatment. I then returned to the University Ottawa and completed a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1995 followed by completion of my Psychology licensing in 1996. Internships have included Harborview Mental Health Center (Psychiatric Rehabilitation) in Seattle, WA, USA; Brockville Psychiatric Hospital -(Psychiatric Rehabilitation) in Brockville, ON; The University of Ottawa Counselling Services, Ottawa, ON; and The Rehabilitation Centre (Pain Management Program and The Terry Fox Mobile Clinic), Ottawa, ON. EMDR training was completed in 1999 (Level I), 2000 (Level II) and 2003 (Performance Enhancement). I have also completed several Art of EMDR trainings with Dr. Roger Solomon and Katherine Martin. I have been in private practice since 1997.
