EMDR Basic Training
I have been working in counselling and psychotherapy since 1999 when I started a private practice, which I maintained for 15 years.
I have specialized training in couple and family therapy and clinical supervision, and in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, which is used to treat trauma.
I was the program director at a non-profit youth addiction treatment centre for 15 years. In that role I provided treatment to youth and parents, and trained counsellors and psychotherapists to work in the area of addiction and mental health.
Other related experience includes many years in counsellor education, and I worked in a youth shelter for several years prior to training as a psychotherapist.
My clinical interests are individual psychotherapy for issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma and addiction; couple counselling; and clinical consultation & supervision (not for EMDR). I work with people 16 years old and up.
