Helen (she/her) has a Master’s degree in Social Work, a post-graduate/advanced diploma in Art Therapy, and a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree. She is an EMDR Certified Therapist.

Since 1994, Helen has worked with children, youth/adolescents and adults of various ethnicities, cultures and socioeconomic status who have often been in crisis/have suffered trauma. Helen is a registered Social Worker with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW), registered Social Worker in the province of Alberta, a Registered Art Therapist with CATA (Canadian Art Therapy Association), and a Professional Member with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Helen has been in private practice since 2009 and after 21.5 years of service at the Regional Psychiatric Centre, retired in 2020 from her Clinical Social Work position. She was employed in a federal adult forensic/psychiatric facility during these years.

Helen specializes in anger and emotions management, healthy communication, healthy relationships, anxiety and other mood disorders, and is a Mental Health Therapist for Indigenous clients through NIHB and ISC, and a therapist on the ‘Q’ list with OUT Saskatoon. In addition to EMDR therapy, Helen utilizes CBT, Narrative Therapy, Choice Theory/Reality Therapy, Trauma-Informed Art/Expressive Arts Therapy, DBT, Brief Solution-Focused, Systems Theory with clients.

Helen typically works Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays during the day as well as the occasional Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. Helen offers services in person as well as by phone or video.
