Janice is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) in good standing with the British Columbia College of Social Workers (BCCSW) and the British Columbia Association of Social Workers (BCASW). Her career has spanned work with children, families, and adults in community and government settings, supporting clients facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, substance misuse, relationship struggles, and the lasting impact of trauma.Janice draws on evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches including attachment and family systems theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, solutions-focused strategies, and mindfulness practices. What clients notice first about Janice is her warmth. She values creating a safe, non-judgmental space where people feel heard and understood. Her approach is collaborative: walking alongside her clients, helping them uncover strengths, and supporting them in building new patterns that foster connection, stability, and hope.
