I completed my Master of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario. Since 2001, I have enjoyed working with children, youth, adults and families in a variety of settings. I have a specialized focus in supporting individuals in healing from trauma and am a Certified EMDR Therapist. Areas of focus have been grief and loss, trauma, mental health and crisis. In counselling, I work to help individuals to identify, strengthen and develop their coping skills by creating an empathic space to explore. I have training in CBT, EMDR, trauma, play therapy, DBT, Structural Dissociation, attachment and mindfulness. I am passionate about offering strength-based counselling to help individuals work towards well-being and finding ways to maintain connections with what is important to them. I have seen so much growth and healing come from my EMDR practice that I am interested in helping other therapists to find the same success as a Consultant-in-Training. I am currently running consultation groups and available for individual consultation.
