Karrela is a Registered Clinical and School Psychologist in Ontario. Karrela has extensive experience assessing and treating children and youth from having served as an integral member of an interdisciplinary diagnostic team at TRC, Ministry of Children and Youth Services. Karrela is a Psychologist with the Toronto District School Board and Owner/Psychologist of Kids Psychological Centre (KPC) . Karrela strives to support the well-being of children & adolescents by providing assessments that reveal the unique profile of each child & adolescent along with recommendations, interventions, and consultation to support/enhance their every day functioning at home and school.
Karrela specializes in assessment and diagnosis, treatment, & consultation of children/youth with complex profiles; with extensive experience in diagnostic challenges of comorbid disorders, and complex histories of attachment, learning disabilities, ADHD, social/emotional/behavioural problems, and ASD. As an EMDR trained therapist, Karrela also treats mental health disorders and trauma in children and adolescents.
Karrela has worked with clients of Children Aid Societies, School Boards, and community based agencies and welcomes referrals from parents, doctors, and professional service providers.
