As the founder and Executive Director of the Trauma & Grief Institute, Krista is deeply committed to mental health and its potential to transform lives. Armed with a Master of Social Work from Carleton University and extensive experience across diverse sectors, she brings extensive expertise to her endeavours. She specializes in working with clients experiencing grief and trauma, using modalities such as EMDR, ego state work, SSP and EMDR-GRIEF in her practice.

A seasoned social worker in the community, long-term care, and hospital settings, Krista deeply understands the complexities of patient and client care. She’s adept at providing psychotherapy, advocating for patient needs, and facilitating discharge planning. As a Consultant at EMDR Consulting and the Crisis & Trauma Resource Institute, Krista shares her knowledge through hands-on assistance and engaging training. Additionally, she provides invaluable consultation and support to fellow social workers and psychotherapists, enriching their clinical practice and outcomes.

In addition to her clinical social work, her leadership roles as Co-Director of the West Ottawa Wellness Clinic and past position as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at the West Ottawa Community Resource Centre underscore her commitment to making a positive impact on mental health and beyond.
