I completed my APPIC and APA-approved internship at Utah State University?s Counselling and Psychological Services. I have a Master’s (M.A.) degree in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Missouri – Kansas City.

My predominant teaching experience has been in educating undergraduate students and counsellors in training at various institutions including the University of British Columbia and Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

Counselling and Psychological Services

It is common for us as human beings to get to a place in life, where we can feel stuck and unsure of where to go next. It takes courage to take the first step in getting help to seek positive growth and change. If you’re finding the idea of seeking help to be hard, just know that this can be normal.

Growth and change can be uncomfortable, difficult, and even painful. We often avoid it, sometimes for years. Seeking help to change old patterns, to feel more grounded, and/or to help propel us into our preferred futures can be so important. If you think that counselling might be a helpful route for you in your process of growth and change, it is important to find a therapist with whom you feel safe to build a trusting professional relationship.

My approach as a psychologist is to be warm, empathic, and nonjudgmental. It is important to me that you feel that you can fully express yourself openly and genuinely with me. In addition to providing the space to make change, I also believe in providing people with appropriate tools and strategies to help them navigate their various situations.
