Leanne Perrin

EMDR Certified Therapist

Perrin Mental Health Services Inc.

I am a mental health therapist and social worker with over 15 years of experience in trauma informed care. I specialize in EMDR 2.0, a cutting-edge therapy that facilitates adaptive information processing and somatic desensitization for clients who suffer from maladaptive functioning and problematic symptoms. I am EMDR Certified through EMDRIA, and I have a Master of Social Work degree.

I am a dedicated and compassionate human whose purpose is to help other humans achieve freedom from unwanted thoughts, feelings, sensations, and behaviors so as to engage and thrive in their life. I believe what I do is as much an art as a science, and I am committed to continuous learning and improvement. I know what I do is as much about helping others with their transformation as it requires something of myself and my own self care,

I work at Perrin Mental Health Services, a private practice that offers remote and mobile services to diverse populations, such as First Nation, Indigenous communities, clinics, hospitals, and EFAP providers. I value innovation, collaboration, and transformation, and I bring a holistic and culturally sensitive approach to my practice. I have strong skills in engagement, assessment, and integrated interventions, holding safe space with other humans.

I am originally from Saskatchewan, born and raised, passionate about rural health services and delivery. I’ve been practicing between Saskatchewan and Alberta since 2020, residing more in Alberta as I’ve become more specialized with EMDR 2.0. I strive to learn and train to ensure I bring my highest level of knowledge and skill in this modality with each client. I want to meet people where they are at, and ultimately hold this space with them to support their goals with desired changes and assist each one on their journey to optimal health, wellness and functioning . Whether you are an athlete, CEO, mother of a busy household, workplace injury, illness, addiction, childhood trauma, car accident, or just looking to increase and optimize your well being, if you are motivated for change perhaps I can help with this goal. If you are willing to commit to your change goals, I will support you with my very best. Let’s talk…
