Myrrhophore Counselling Therapy

I completed my education in France, where I was born and raised, earning a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. My training in attachment-based psychodynamic psychotherapy provided a strong foundation for my clinical work and continues to inform my understanding of clients’ experiences.Throughout my career, I have been drawn to somatic approaches that recognize the body as an essential resource in the healing process. After nearly a decade of clinical practice, I expanded my training by becoming a therapeutic yoga teacher, deepening my understanding of the mind-body connection.Today, I integrate both approaches in my work. This combination allows me to address both the underlying patterns that shape clients’ experiences and the ways trauma is held in the body, supporting meaningful and lasting healing. My interest in EMDR began after experiencing it firsthand as a client following a traumatic car accident. I was impressed by its effectiveness and became curious about its potential as a therapeutic approach. With the goal of expanding my trauma-focused skills and offering clients additional pathways to recovery, I recently completed my EMDR training.I am excited to integrate EMDR into my practice and to provide clients with another effective way of processing difficult experiences. I am particularly passionate about supporting new mothers who are seeking to heal from birth trauma and look forward to incorporating EMDR into this important area of my work.
