Dr. Olga Winkler is a Canadian Psychiatrist and Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Alberta, maintaining an active clinical practice in trauma-focused therapy with treatment-resistant PTSD and complex PTSD. She is an EMDRIA-certified therapist with additional training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Level 2), Internal Family Systems, as well as Cognitive Behavioural and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (CBT and DBT). In clinical practice, she uses modified EMDR with sensorimotor, ego state, and internal family systems therapy, virtual reality-assisted trauma therapy (using Multi-Modal, Motion-assisted Desensitization and Reconsolidation therapy, 3MDR), and psychedelic-assisted therapy. Her research interests include exploring treatments for complex trauma, dissociation, and suicidal ideation.
