Rebekka Wallace Roy

Rebekka Wallace Roy, MSW RSW is a Registered Social Worker, psychotherapist, and mindful parent educator specializing in anxiety, stress reduction, trauma, parenting, and mindful practices in Ottawa, Ontario.

Over the last 17 years, Rebekka has developed expertise in mindfulness, stress reduction, and mindful parenting. She uses skill-based counseling and is a qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) facilitator through the UCSD Centre for Mindfulness. She brings many of the resources of this program (i.e., mindful meditation, inquiry, and skill-based teachings about the brain/body connection) into her daily practice, Mindful Parenting, and Mindfulness@Work workshops.

As a trauma-informed therapist, Rebekka completed her basic training in EMDR and has been practicing since 2009, She also has completed the advanced Flash training and EMDR 2.0 workshops. Rebekka has received training from Dr. Bruno Cayoun (MiCBT), Dr. Stephen Porges and Deb Dana (Polyvagal Theory and SSP protocol), Dr. Ross Greene (CPS), Gregg Jacobs, Ph.D. (CBT-I), Dr. Dan Siegel (Brainstorm/Mindsight), Dr. Laura Markham (Peaceful Parenting), and Dayna Abraham’s Calm the Chaos Program.
