EMDR Basic Training

West Niagara Psychology Centre

I am a caring professional who works passionately to support individuals navigate challenging life events. I hold a client-centered, strengths-based and holistic approach to wellness that acknowledges the importance of individuals’ cognitive, emotional, social, cultural, familial, physical, and spiritual experiences.  I completed a MA in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and am a Registered Psychotherapist. Prior to training in psychotherapy I earned a PhD in Psychology (Research based) from the University of Western Ontario. This training helps to inform my current practice. I have experience in the public and private sector, offering individual and group therapy. Most of my work involves supporting individuals who experience concerns related to anxiety, depression, PTSD, and emotion regulation including first responders, Veterans, and survivors of violence including domestic violence. Part of my practice includes the use of EMDR (in-person, online) when indicated. I am also trained in the use of Trauma-informed approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Narrative Therapy.
