Amber Sperling Social Work and Psychotherapy services
Amber Sperling is a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist based in Barrie, ON. She has a specialization in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C from Postpartum Support International) and EMDR Certification, providing supervision and consulation-in-training under Paula Lavocat. She has additional training to support families heal from pregnancy and infant loss, dissociation and recent traumatic event processing. This has led her to provide many services for emergency response providers who are struggling with the transition into parenthood.
Amber owns a private practice offering individual psychotherapy, workshops and couples support related to perinatal loss. She has a passion for empowering expectant and new mothers to reduce distress and feel more in control of their emotions and lives.
When not providing clinical services in the community Amber volunteers for the Women and Children’s Regional Network Birthing Families working group, RVH Foundation Cabinet and is the founder of the SImcoe County Perinatal Practitioner Network.
