I was born in Port of Spain, T&T. My ancestors are Portuguese who migrated from Madeira Island. My parents moved to Venezuela when I was a toddler. I studied primary and high school named Italo-Venezolano. My school friends were mainly Italian descendent. From a young age, I wanted to help people ? better people?s life. I graduated as a medical doctor (1989) at Universidad de Oriente, and primary worked in the department of Obstetrician/Gynecology at Luis Razetti University Hospital in Barcelona, Venezuela. I completed a Masters in Sexologia Medica (1994) at the Psychiatry, Psychology and Sexology Research Center of Venezuela. For five (5) years I taught a course on Sexology as an Assistant Professor at Universidad de Oriente, Anzoátegui branch. I completed a Specialist Diploma in Group Dynamics (2004) by the International Association of Specialists in Group Dynamics and Research Centre and Study for Social Dynamics, C.I.E.D.I.S. Venezuela. I have over 30 years of practice in providing mental health to individuals, couples and groups to a variety of populations. During my time in Venezuela, I was invited to present topics in Sexology area of study. As a Clinical Sexologist I was invited by Pharmaceutics Labs to give speeches nationally. I participated and attended National and International Congresses – WAS.
In 2007, I migrated to Canada and completed a Master of Social Work, at Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Ontario (April-2012). I like to continue learning new therapies to best serve the clients. In 2021, my employer offered EMDR course, which I completed in 2021. Since then, I have been expanding my knowledge and applying this therapy. I love to travel and take pictures of nature. I enjoy my alone time and gardening.
