Currently, Sidney is a Certified EMDR Therapist and also is an Approved EMDR Consultant. At the present time Sidney is the only EMDR Consultant in the province of Saskatchewan and currently is in the process of becoming an approved EMDR trainer with EMDRIA. Sidney possesses advanced training and experience in treating a variety of trauma. Sidney has advanced training in EMDR Therapy and he specializes in assessing and treating developmental trauma. The root source of the majority of is from issues and mental health symptoms stems from unresolved traumatic experiences often occurring early in life. Sidney integrates principles of neurodevelopment and traumatology to inform work with children, adults, families, and the communities in which they live. This approach informs and guides the selection and sequencing of developmentally sensitive neurobiologically-guided interventions including EMDR Therapy. This clinical approach helps determine the strengths and vulnerabilities of clients in order to create individualized treatment plans. Sidney integrates EMDR Therapy with the NMT © ?brain mapping? model in order to access the root source of trauma.
